Andrea Caldarelli on the podium in Zolder


Another podium for Andrea Caldarelli in 2018 season. After a great Daytona 24 hours, the Italian driver for Lamborghini Squadra Corse collected a podium in the inaugural 2018 round of Blancpain GT Series. In the Sprint Cup, held in Zolder, Andrea at the wheel of Grasser Racing Teamís Huracan GT3 crossed race 2ís finish line in third place. The Pescara-based driver shared the wheel with Ezequiel Perez-Companc, and replicate 2017 podium in Nurburgring. That was the first experience for Caldarelli in the Sprint Cup, while this is the first round of the year. After this positive Belgium journey, Andrea is expected to debut in Oschersleben for GT Masters on April 15th, then straight to Monza, for maiden 2018 Endurance Cup race.

ďIt was a really good first lap for me, going from P9 to P6. I spent a little too much time behind the #39 Ferrari and lost time to the guys at the front. We started this weekend with some problems on the car, so I think we can consider this a very positive result. The team did a great job with the pit stop so Iím very happy todayĒ.
