Andrea Caldarelli runner-up in 2016 SUPER GT


Andrea Caldarelli is the new SUPER GT 2016 runner-up. The Pescara-based driver, in the last double round of the series at Motegi scored a fourth and second place with two great recovery races, scoring final second place in the standings, with 69 total points. After a difficult qualifying on Saturday, Andrea brought his WAKO’S 4CR RC F close to the podium, while in Sunday started third, lost the win for just few tenths. 2016 saw Andrea scoring points in all the eight rounds of the season, making a pole position and two podiums.

“It has a been an amazing season finale. In Motegi we’ve been really competitive as we’ve shown in all the sessions. Thanks to all LEXUS TEAM LEMANS WAKO’S for the great work done together, as well my teammate Kazuya Oshima. Even if I had many changes in the last few years, I’ve always been able to fight for the title until the very last lap, and for me is a positive thing. Now we have a winter break to rest a bit and recharge the battery for next year”.
