Andrea Caldarelli signed with Tech 1 for GP3

Andrea Caldarelli has reached an agreement with Tech1 to run for the 2011 season in the GP3 championship. Committed to Barcelona for the last colletive test of the season, the driver from Pescara and the French team led by Sarah and Simon Abadie, have reached an agreement that will bind them for the whole year. Eight races that will see the twenty-one years-old Italian driver compete with great value equipes. In the previous session at Silverstone Andrea had immediately taken the car in Top-10, making it the fastest driver of Tech 1 in dry track. The season will start from Istanbul on 8 May and will join in the GP2 weekends with Formula 1, offering great visibility both in term of public and media coverage.

Andrea Caladrelli
"The agreement with Tech 1 arrived near at the end, but fortunately thanks to the support of my sponsor Mario De Cecco, and Abadie’s brothers who believe in my potential, we could find an agreement that allowed me to get on track at 2011. The aim will be very difficult because I am convinced that at least ten drivers at each race can play for winning, but my goal is to be there, and why not for the championship".
